About St Stephen's Church

The 216-year-old coastal parish of Thope was entrusted to the Salesians by the diocese of Kollam in 1975. Since then the parish has seen continuous and gradual growth in the social, economic, and spiritual sectors of the area. The church experienced unfailing providence of God's love on 8th December 2011 as Most Rev. Dr Stanley Roman, the Bishop of Kollam blessed the beautiful Church for veneration. The parish continues to be a centre of wide-ranging involvements aimed at the integral development of the people, bearing eloquent testimony to Christ's compassion for the poor and the underprivileged.
